Abstract

The community's need for a bed that is comfortable, durable, economical and various other factors is an important secondary need for the community. This study aims to analyze defects and provide suggestions for improving the quality of spring bed products at PT. Elephant Agung Perkasa with the Seven Tools method and Quality Control Circle (QCC). The pareto diagram shows the number of product defects (percentage of product defects) in dirty fabrics as much as 87pcs (41.63%), on slack elbow plates as many as 64 pcs (30.63%) and on broken wood legs as many as 38 pcs (18.18%). The Quality Control Circle (QCC) method involves all parties in the production section with the Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) principle. The plan stage takes into account the Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound (SMART) criteria. The results of the PDCA principle to achieve the company's desire to reduce defective products to 2% or zero defects, are proposed improvements, namely the proposed addition forms, repairs to infrastructure and work equipment, making work instructions for sakura bolts and proposing raw material return cards.
